A. Deadlift, 12-15 TNG reps (15 = add weight next week)
B. Manly WOD, 3 Rounds for Reps, 1 min on/2 min off:
- Tire Flips, 160kg: 15, 17, 18
- Prowler Push, 10m@40-20kg, 4, 6, 5
- Sledge Pull/Drag, 10m@60kg 4, 5, 5
Lost count on the deads so did an extra one to be sure. Not heavy, but a little harder finding a nice pace this time. Gotta work on keeping the bar closer.
Manly wod was so much fun, and pain. Tire flips isn’t so bad, prowler just smokes the legs. All rounds 1 set of up and down felt fine, and then BOOM, legs out of order. Will definitely work more with this one. Sledge was cool, just need a longer rope and our technique of dragging it was quite awkward, but still got the job done.
Hardest part of the day was carrying all the weights, prowler and sledge back up those damn 3 flights of stairs…
Really looking forward to getting back to gym training on Monday, but first there’s an awesome hike waiting for me tomorrow and after that promises of a nice pool party with 28 degrees and some grassfed beef on the braai, just hoping I can stick to my ”3 glasses of wine rule” so I don’t have to carry a weight west up on Lions Head come Wednesday.
