Did a super poor ”JT” Wednesday, (+12 min), but then had a great night watching Coldplay live at Cape Town Stadium! Felt that great night still when it was workout time today, but had decided not to chicken out. Not happy, won’t make excuses but I know at least a couple of things that makes me believe that I should have been way faster in the end.
Good speed first two rounds, wanted to quit before the 4th, and then almost threw up at the end of the last. A PB is a PB and soon enough I’ll be crushing my times. Learnt one important thing today and that is that I have been using a too narrow grip in my butterfly PU’s. Watching Dave smash ”Fran” last week gave me that piece of the puzzle. First two rounds of PU’s took around 20sec which is a good improvement. Able to keep my core much more intact with a wider grip.
Was planning on making a video of the wod, but then realized ”Dude, it’s just a bunch of pullups, pushups and you praying to the old gods for mercy”, not too much to see. The ice cream pic from Venice Beach however, the trip to LA was worth it alone only for that melting piece of dark chocolate gift sent from above.
