So, after litterally climbing a small mountain in the morning, I felt more energized than in a long while. Lions Head does that to me and when Cape Town is showing off with a beautiful 26-27 degree, sunny day I felt rejuvenated.
WPU felt way better than the CTB last week, Ring MU obviously very rusty (can easily see I need to become more flexible in my shoulders in the vid), but it was the first time since the injury I got during them in the Games. Focus is on getting a better transition and land cleaner in the dip pos. First round of CTB felt good, trying to get better at keeping my midsection tighter. Second round, not so good, and last one I decided to go for max reps and call it.
KB-Grace, I didn’t even look at the 32’s knowing that would have probably ripped an arm and shoulder off my body considering my technique is not so impressive. Need to rack it better. Not happy with the time, but it can only get better from here on. Will do it with the two 32’s as soon as I feel a little more metconized.
Second metcon was hilarious, no gaming allowed so I flew through the first round. Goes without sayingthat I died quickly during the second round and from there on I never got more than 5 PSHU’s in a row, GHD’s pretty much unbroken but hard to breath through.
Don’t know if it is the sun or just the fact that I started training properly again, but today I’ve been like a polar bear digging it’s way out of it’s hibernation – Just wanting to eat! Not so sure that a whole bag of macadamians was the best choice though…
Rest day tomorrow, but I feel good about starting to work hard to reach my goals again. At the end of the day, that’s all I can and should do.
