I think the rest after the Regionals has treated me very well! I’m hitting PB’s I didn’t expect at all. First the OL’s that gone up without heavy ones in a long while, and now WPU that I can’t even remember when I tried for 1RM the last time.
OK, it is a one year old PB and I should get stronger, but still. Actually it felt really light and I was planning on going for 61kg, but ran out of energy just by trying to get my setup with a dumbell attached to the first weight vest and then a bigger one that didn’t fit between my knees. Pretty sure I will get it when I just find a better setup, might take one of the 60kg girls in the gym and put her on my back..?😉
Box Jumps was not as exciting, hoping my lack of explosiveness comes from yesterday’s leg work.
CTB felt ok, forearms got pumped straight away but I managed to get 20s for the first two rounds and then 10/5/5 which is a good improvement from last week. 4*20 next week, ouch.
TTB alternated with K2E was quite easy and just moving pattern practice, yet my pumped arms swelled up like crazy in between rounds.
I like my training right now, the program I have planned for July feels very balanced and will hopefully work on some holes in my fitness. In other words, I guess it’s back on the rower tomorrow again…
