Disappointing PB

Above the clouds, at 400 m over sea level!

WU: Row 500m 1’40.8 min/26 spm (Sub 1’42-week).

A. From GymnasticsWoD: 10 Bridge Ups
B. ”Diane” – 21-15-9 of:

  • Deadlifts @ 102kg
  • Hspu’s

Time: 5’41 min PB! (-3’41 min).

C. Tabata Bottom Up KB-presses @ 16 kg:
6/6, 7/7, 6/6, 2(!)/5

D. Box Jumps:
80cm/5, 90/3, 100/1, 109/1

In the morning me and Michael, who runs CrossFit Ireland, took a hike up to ”my” cave on the Pipe Track. Cloudy in Camps Bay and moderate temperature made us do the hike very fast and it felt lighter than ever. Maybe also ’cause we were talking CF all the way and he has a lot of knowledge that I’m happy to incoorporate in my programming. Well at the cave we just sat there and watch the beautiful scenery for quite some time as the clouds began to ”burn off” and hotter air pushed them over the mountain to actually give us the view I was hoping for, needles to say it was a great start of any day.

Rowing wasn’t to bad, did them in my VFF’s which I think is harder then the lifting shoes, but obviusly I wanna be able to row in any shoes. Roland gave me the link to GymnasticsWod last night and I think it’s truly awesome! Gonna use this in a new template from CrossFit Journal that Michael showed me and which I think will suit my planned programming very well.

Well, I wanted to do Diane since I missed out on it this Monday and now that my arm is basicly back to 100% ROM, I felt it was time to get it out of my system. Really should be able to get her in sub 5 min, just don’t know why I chickened out so badly today. Never really taxed, felt like I was at a 80-85% effort all way through, but as soon as I had to break the HSPU, I just got so scared of getting stuck with them, WTF!?
Yeye, a PB is a PB is a PB, but still…

Bottom Ups Presses are fun and they really show the inbalance in my weaker left side. I only allow ”unbroken” sets so when I lost balance in the last set, that whas it.

Beach workout tomorrow morning and then some gymnastics in the gym at afternoon if my arms don’t respond badly to this, but I don’t think they will. Gonna show you guys the template later as I think I’ll start using it next week, with my own little twist of course. What would life be without me trying to improve what’s probably already good as it is?

PS. Post the Diane-video tomorrow morning. As usual it takes for ever, so better to upload it over night.

Tog du för långa pauser på HSPU eller gick du in i väggen på dem? Som sagt ett PR är ett PR, då vet du ju också att du kan kapa mycket tid på den till nästa gång också🙂
Armbågen klarade sig helt och hållet?

För långa pauser av rädsla för att bonka, missade inte en enda rep lixom vilket jag borde om jag kör max…
Lite känningar i flexorfästena nu men annars lugnt!🙂

Good job on the PB!! -3.41 a slaughter on the last time. Maybe a pornstar champagne per week is something to add to the weekly diet?🙂
