A. 3 * 1 Power Clean + 1 Squat Clean + 1 Split Jerk:
60kg/1.1.1, 80kg/1.1.1, 90kg/1.1.1

B. 2 Rounds for Time, (4 min rest):

  • 5 MU’s
  • 10 Power Clean@50kg
  • 50 DU’s

Times: 1’24 min – 1’28 min

Last session with weights before SM! Actually feels quite empty, I mean now all I can do is sit back, work as much as possible on mobility and recovery and cross my fingers that I’ll be in super shape on Saturday. Stressed through today’s session today to get it done before the Lunch Class started. Shortened the rest between sets from 5 to 3-4 mins, but that of course didn’t make it much heavier. Clean & Jerking was easy but a bit awkward, think it has all to do with mobility and pretty sure I will feel better if I just do my homework. Metcon rounds not so much to say about. Fast, light and satisfied.

Anyway, today they finally released the schedule for SM! Me and TabataDaddy was talking last night and as he put it, we were like children the night before Christmas, but it was worth waiting for. Awsome programming if you ask me! Not only because I think I should be able to perform pretty well, but mostly because I think it’s a well thought and balanced programming. Also, not to forget, I think it will be very exciting for the spectators!
If I look at my self I think the wods should fit me fine. I’m not the best in the squat clean version, but with a lot of adrenaline and the audience around me, I should be able to perform in the first event. Both event 2 (right after the max lifts) and 3 should also suit me. Short, explosive and all out kind of workouts is where I should have a decent chance at getting good numbers. For the fourth wod, it’s probably way too long to be inside my comfort zone, but hey if there is any time to push my self outside it, this is it. On a perfect day I would have a small chance on reaching the final chipper, which looks super grueling and fun, so let’s hope life brings me one of those!

I must give some more credit to the programming, (easy to do so before the competition anyway), and say that most of it looks like it will keep the excitement high all day long. The Affiliate Competitions events should be extremly fun to watch, between my own sessions, only meals & massage will be higher than watching those on my priority list!

Oh, they put me in the first heat of the first event, meaning I will be on the line at 8.30AM. Even though I’m not the most energized guy in the mornings, it will however give me a little more time to recover before event three (heat assignements will be according to ”best performance in first event goes last”) so I can’t really complain about that either.

Just little more than 60 hours to go and counting!

Det lustiga är att majoriteten av de jag pratat med gillar upplägget och tror att det gagnar just dem = Det kommer bli tight i alla moment

Hur många reps siktar du på i event 2?

Hehe, låter som det kan bli en mycket rolig tävling då! Och BRA programmering när alla blir taggade!
Well, jag har lite drömgränser i huvudet, men eftersom min senaste Grace var väldigt submax och 2,55min måste min egen skamgräns gå vid 30 reps och målet vara en del högre…😉
Själv då? Tror att du kommer bli riiiktigt farlig kompis! =)

Shame < 30, goal 35, dream 40

har ju en Grace på 1:53 men utan domare, måste köra mycket striktare och mer ekonomiskt

Jag tror du sätter ribban för lågt, stick bara ut skallen genom varje rep så kommer de bli godkända, tror du har mer i kroppen!🙂
